This high-visibility site is located on the corner of Savannah Street & Fourth Street SE, adjacent to Ballou High School in Anacostia.

PROGRAM
Provide 100 new multi-family housing units within three separate buildings with a retail office, a tot lot and required parking.

SOLUTION
Four distinct unit types are distributed among the three buildings which feature individual unit entries. The site configuration creates defensible space by arranging the buildings as a strong street presence as well as forming a comfortable urban courtyard. The unit mix of townhouses and stacked flats (with lofts on the upper floor) provides a diverse choice of unit types for the residents in this neighborhood.
