SITE:
This existing apartment complex is located in a residential neighborhood on Southern Avenue and 25th Street, SE and consists of 117 one bedroom and 132 two bedroom units for a total of 249 apartment units, including the conversion of accessible units for handicapped and hearing impaired residents.
PROGRAM:
Renovate existing units by providing new kitchens, bathrooms, HVAC and electrical systems, finishes and windows. Provide new entry canopies, a new leasing office, common use facility and refurbished grounds.
SOLUTION:
New entrance canopies, fencing and landscape create a “front yard” for the benefit of the tenants. The new leasing office -as seen in the above photograph- provides a focal point and has been designed as an accessible facility.
